Porcelain Crowns (Caps)

Porcelain crowns are tooth-shaped caps used to repair and restore broken, decayed or fractured teeth and fillings, as cosmetic enhancements, or to cover a root canal. Matching the original shape, size, and colour of a tooth, a crown covers the entire visible portion of the tooth, essentially protecting and strengthening it.

Steps to a Crown

  1. During your first visit, we take a detailed impression, or mold and a temporary crown is applied.
  2. The crown is produced.
  3. During your final visit, the new crown is cemented to your tooth and any adjustments are made to ensure proper spacing and fit.

Caring for a Crown

Detailed care instructions will be provided at your final appointment. Proper oral hygiene, a healthy diet and regular visits to your dentist will help ensure that your crown remains strong for years.
